This is the first time i've worked with Lino and ink. So I worked on a tiger sketch to see how it would work. My dad helped me capture all the stages to make the prints, you can see them below.
Step 1
Sketching out my tiger design on pencil onto the lino.
Step 2
Starting to carve out the lino around my design
Step 3
I was finding it hard to follow the pencil sketch while cutting, so decided to use a sharpie to make it easier to follow design while cutting the rest.
Step 4
Squeezing the ink into the tray, it was the first time i've done this so didn't want to use too much.
Step 5
Getting ink onto the roller ready to roll onto the lino.
Step 6
Rolling the ink onto the lino.
Step 7
Placing the paper onto the lino once the ink was in place. Then pressing the card down so it picked up the ink.
Step 8
After pressing we got to see how the prints had worked.
Final Designs
We created 10 tiger prints of my first ever lino design.
